Simulation & Virtual Engineering Lab
The CAD/CAM systems used are CATIA V5 and Creo Parametric. The computer equipment includes several servers that network the Institute's 160 computers. These include several compute servers for numerical simulations and a file server with 50 TB. A large number of programs are available as standard software for numerical simulations, including ANSYS with HPC option, ABAQUS and Creo Simulate. Six workstations are available for virtual stereoscopic product development and a 65'' monitor with shutter glasses for demonstrations. With the help of EON Studio, virtual reality scenes with gesture control can be viewed on these devices.
